The Pearl Valley Golf Estate is surrounded by the Simonsberg and Drakenstein Mountains and bordered by vineyards with The Berg River water hazard running through it. Nicklaus has stayed true to his design principles by working closely with nature and has provided a golf course that fits in with the environment. This fairly flat and largely uninterrupted terrain enabled Nicklaus the freedom to develop hole strategies making this a golf course the golfer has to think his/her way around. In its engineering and planning detail, the course is very rare. It is crossed by roads in only three places, and the drainage system allows play to continue just minutes after a severe cloudburst. Pearl Valley is an SA Open Championship course.
Day 3 Franschhoek Le Quartier Francais Breakfast and Lunch Travel along the Coast Road via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at the granite boulders where we have magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain and the beach of Camps Bay.
Continue along Victoria Drive past Bakoven and Llandudno to Hout Bay, a charming village and fishing harbor. Stop at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and visit the lighthouse overlooking False Bay, so named by the early navigators who thought they had arrived at Table Bay.
Day 4 After breakfast and check out procedures, you will be transferred back to Cape Town Airport for your flight to George. Day 7 Lukimbi Safari Lodge is a stunning luxury safari lodge situated in the easily accessible southern portion of the Kruger National Park. Spacious suites combine luxury and modern African decor with private decks and river views. Kruger is home to the Big Five and a wide variety of other animals and birds which roam freely in their natural habitat. This is an area of great diversity of both fauna and flora and affords you unique activities based around the river system and surrounding area. Characteristic species of wildlife on Lukimbi include lion, elephant, white rhino, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hyena, waterbuck, hippopotamus, crocodile, wildebeest, kudu and many other mammal & bird species.
Day 8 Kruger National Park Lukimbi Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Johann Rupert created Leopard Creek, and with Gary Player, designed a championship 18-hole golf course as its center piece. Small streams and lakes are found throughout the development, creating challenging play to the golfer. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek for much of the water are home to hippos and the creature for which the adjacent river is named – the crocodile.
Day 9 Kruger National Park Lukimbi Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
