Dubai to South Africa for ‘The Golfer’s Bucket List’ South Africa’s Top Golf Courses plus the Big 5 and Cape Town
Day 1 Arrive Cape Town Le Quartier Francais http://www.lqf.co.za/
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be transferred to the beautiful Winelands of Franschhoek for check in at Le Quartier Francais. Located in the heart of Franschhoek Village, just 45 minutes out of Cape Town, Le Quartier Francais is an ideal base from which to explore the many wonders of the Winelands http://www.winelands.co.za/
Today you will enjoy a round of golf at South Africa’s No. 5 ranked course— Pearl Valley Golf Estate http://www.pearlvalley.co.za/play/the-golf-experience/the-golf-course.html
The Pearl Valley Golf Estate is surrounded by the Simonsberg and Drakenstein Mountains and bordered by vineyards with The Berg River water hazard running through it. Nicklaus has stayed true to his design principles by working closely with nature and has provided a golf course that fits in with the environment. This fairly flat and largely uninterrupted terrain enabled Nicklaus the freedom to develop hole strategies making this a golf course the golfer has to think his/her way around. In its engineering and planning detail, the course is very rare. It is crossed by roads in only three places, and the drainage system allows play to continue just minutes after a severe cloudburst. Pearl Valley is an SA Open Championship course.
Day 3 Franschhoek Le Quartier Francais Breakfast and Lunch Travel along the Coast Road via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at the granite boulders where we have magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain and the beach of Camps Bay.
Continue along Victoria Drive past Bakoven and Llandudno to Hout Bay, a charming village and fishing harbor. Stop at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and visit the lighthouse overlooking False Bay, so named by the early navigators who thought they had arrived at Table Bay.
Day 4 After breakfast and check out procedures, you will be transferred back to Cape Town Airport for your flight to George. On arrival, you will be transferred to Fancourt Hotel Country Club & Golf Estate http://www.fancourt.co.za/ – Fancourt, South Africa’s premier leisure resort is situated in the heart of the Garden Route.
Ideally located, the resort is superbly landscaped on 1,500 acres of lush countryside with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains as the perfect backdrop. Rooms and suites are modern and spacious, overlooking the Outeniqua Mountains, Fancourt gardens and golf course. The fully equipped and professionally staffed Fancourt Spa http://www.fancourt.com/spa/treatments/
Day 5 George Fancourt Breakfast Fancourt is South Africa’s premier golf resort, featuring three highly rated Championship golf courses, where play is restricted to Members, their guests and hotel guests.
Since opening in the early 90’s with just 27 Gary Player-designed holes, Fancourt’s Outeniqua and Montague golf courses http://www.fancourt.com/golf/ have matured and developed into two of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts in the country.
A round on either is a special experience, sculpted and finished as they are, with rare attention to detail and designed with the coastal George winds in mind.
Today you will enjoy a round of golf at South Africa’s No. 2 ranked golf course – The Links.
Day 6 After breakfast and check out procedures, you will be transferred back to George Airport for your flight to Mpumulanga Airport. On arrival you will be transferred to Kruger National Park for check in at Lukimbi Safari Lodge http://www.lukimbi.com/
Day 7 Lukimbi Safari Lodge is a stunning luxury safari lodge situated in the easily accessible southern portion of the Kruger National Park. Spacious suites combine luxury and modern African decor with private decks and river views. Kruger is home to the Big Five and a wide variety of other animals and birds which roam freely in their natural habitat. This is an area of great diversity of both fauna and flora and affords you unique activities based around the river system and surrounding area. Characteristic species of wildlife on Lukimbi include lion, elephant, white rhino, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hyena, waterbuck, hippopotamus, crocodile, wildebeest, kudu and many other mammal & bird species.
Day 8 Kruger National Park Lukimbi Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Small streams and lakes are found throughout the development, creating challenging play to the golfer. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek for much of the water are home to hippos and the creature for which the adjacent river is named – the crocodile.
